These are excellent appointments and their extensive experience, skills and knowledge will support the ongoing work to align our two current organisations and build on their collective strengths.
It represents an important next step in the development of our new ICB as a strategic commissioner. Whilst we navigate the next stages of transition, including developing our structures and supporting our staff, we will continue to work with our partners to major on local service priorities and develop our strategic plans to transform the NHS over the longer term in line with the 10-year health plan.
We remain fully committed to place‑based working, which will be integral to supporting a greater shift to prevention and development of community services across Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
We will continue to keep stakeholders updated as plans develop and decisions are made.
