The Gloucestershire Specific Information Sharing Agreements (SISAs) sit within a wider agreement called the Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement (GISPA).
This provides a shared framework that helps organisations across Gloucestershire work together to share information safely, securely and in line with the law. SISAs explain how information can be shared to support your care, as well as to help plan services, improve public health, and make local services better.
By signing these agreements, organisations work in a consistent, joined‑up way when sharing information. This helps to:
- Make information sharing more consistent across different organisations
- Reduce duplication, so multiple separate agreements are not needed
- Provide clear legal and governance assurance
- Support better collaboration between services
- Improve how care is coordinated for individuals
- Enhance population health and wellbeing
- Enable better planning and innovation in services
- Maintain high standards of data protection and public trust’
