NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has announced that Care Banking has been awarded the contract to provide a new digital system for All Age Continuing Care (AACC) following a competitive and successful procurement process.

The new platform will transform how AACC services are managed and delivered across Gloucestershire, streamlining processes, improving communication, and enhancing the experience for patients, families, and staff.

The procurement process, which concluded in October 2025, sought a digital partner capable of delivering a modern, secure, and user-friendly solution to support person-centred care and efficient service delivery. Care Banking was selected for its strong track record in healthcare digital innovation and its proven ability to deliver systems that reduce administrative burden and improve service quality.

Rebecca Barrow, Head of Commissioning at NHS Gloucestershire ICB said:

“This is an important step forward for Continuing Healthcare in Gloucestershire. We’re committed to ensuring that our AACC service is efficient, transparent, and focused on what matters most — supporting individuals and their families. Care Banking’s digital platform will give our staff the tools they need to spend more time on direct support and less on paperwork, while giving patients and carers clearer communication and better visibility of their journey.”

The new AACC system will deliver a range of benefits, including:

  • Improved experience for patients and families through better communication and greater transparency.
  • Streamlined workflows for staff, reducing duplication and freeing up time for person-centred care.
  • Better data and insights to support more responsive, consistent, and equitable decision-making.
  • Enhanced collaboration across NHS and social care partners through secure, integrated digital tools.

Implementation will begin later this year, with phased rollout and training to ensure a smooth transition for all users. Full implementation is expected during 2026.

Rob Meaker, Managing Director at Care Banking, said:

We are delighted to partner with NHS Gloucestershire ICB to deliver a modern AACC digital system that supports both operational efficiency and compassionate care. Our platform has been designed in collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure it meets the needs of staff, patients, and families alike.”

This investment forms part of NHS Gloucestershire ICB’s ongoing commitment to improving digital infrastructure and enabling more seamless, person-centred care across the local health and care system.
